Fishing Coordinator’s Report January 2024
For our first super quad series, 13th of January 2024, we had a total of 238 individual entries, and a total of 70 boats/jetskis that launched on the Saturday morning. Lots of fish were caught in certain areas, and a number of boats were also unsuccessful in other areas of the fishing map, which showed many boats not even weighing a fish in the competition.
Many thanks to all of our sponsors, which made this a successful first competition day. Many thanks once again to the small fishing committee of six, the Manawatu Coast Guard, the radio team upstairs who manned the day, the weigh-station team, the car park team and also to all other volunteers who helped leading up to and on the day of our first super quad series. In previous years the fishing committee has had up to 12 and over committee members, so taking this into consideration our small team has done a bloody amazing job.
