Fishing Coordinator’s Report
Unfortunately, the last day of the Super Quad competition was cancelled due to weather and swell conditions. We fished 50% of the dates, which was pretty good odds for the weather that we experienced.
We received a season total of 921 entries, from both fisher persons & sponsors.
January 2024: Fished on the day – 238 entries total (Persons & Sponsors), 75 Vessels
February 10th 2024: Fished on the day – 214 entries total (persons & sponsors), 67 Vessels
February 24th 2024: Cancelled due to weather/swell – 203 entries total (persons & sponsors), 67 Vessels
March 2024: Cancelled due to weather/swell – 266 entries total (persons & sponsors), 82 Vessels
The winners of the 3 Sisters competition, the crew of the Kotuku, received an amazing GPS mower that was sponsored by our loyal and fantastic sponsors AFC, GH Engineers and Manawatu Security Fencing. Thank you, again. The three fisherpersons on the boat at the time were, Keith Lewer, Tony Rusling, John Marsh.
