Another fantastic day for our Kid’s Fishing Competition on Waitangi Day 2026.
181 young fishing enthusiasts with their parents and grandparents crowded onto the MMBC wharf and had a fantastic day!
In the age groups;
3-5 year olds, 34 fish were caught, including the biggest of the day at 320gm.
6-9 year olds, 83 fish were caught and
10-12 year olds, 50 fish were caught.
An excellent day of fishing with 170 fish caught, and some fun ‘extras’ including eels, crabs and even an oyster!
